Tampa Tea

This treasure from an earlier version of Joy of Cooking has sustained me through countless summer days at horse shows and baseball games.

Light, only slightly sweet, and tasty, it hits the spot.

In Mrs. Rombauer’s version,  grapefruit juice formed the base citrus taste.  I substituted more easily available orange juice and reduced the sugar, as is my wont.

And now that my tangelo tree is mature, I read “tangelo juice” where you see OJ.
