Cinnamon Rolls a la Cinnabon

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1 1/4 t. instant yeast
  • 1 egg large
  • 3 T. butter, very soft or melted (cool)
  • 21/4 cups all purpose flour divided use
  • 1/4 cup butter, very soft
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 T cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup cream, warmed

Instructions
 

  • Sprinkle yeast over warm milk in mixer bowl.
    Add egg, butter, salt, and sugar. Add 2 c. of flour . Mix til barely combined and let rest 5 minutes. Using dough hook, beat on medium speed, adding flour as necessary to make a sticky dough.
    Scrap dough into a greased bowl, cover and let dough rise til doubled.
    Prepare filling by mixing butter, brown sugar and cinnamon.
    Roll out doubled dough with floured rolling pin to rectangle. Spread filling and roll tightly from long side.
    Cut into 9 slices and place in greased 9 x 9 pan.
    Let rise til nearly doubled.
    Pour warmed cream over the top of rolls.
    Bake 15-20 minutes in 375.
