The book is written simply for young readers, but it spoke to my curiosity about, for instance, how did potatoes end up in Indian dishes (Indian, as it Southern Asia) and peanuts in West Africa.
Nice complement to The Food Explorer, about David Fairchild who traveled the world at the end of the 19th century, looking for useful plants to bring back to the US.
