I’ve yet to harvest a single tablespoon of honey from the bee hive in my back yard. Yet keeping bees rewards me every day.
It’s about the continuing reminder that there are occupants of our world other than humans. And our lives are intertwined.
They shout out a reminder to me that everything I plant in the garden has the potential to support their survival, and everything I sprinkle and spray on my garden has the potential to poison them.
That message is more potent than quarts of honey.
