Fruit in Brandy & Butter

This dish is written for a melange of fruit, but I enjoy it as well with just apricots.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pear
  • 1 orange
  • 1 banana
  • 3 T. butter
  • 3 T. sugar
  • 3 T. brandy
  • 3 T. white wine

Instructions
 

  • Peel and quarter pear; peel orange and quarter; and peel and halve banana.
    In medium saucepan, mix butter and sugar, add fruit and prick with a fork.  Simmer until lightly carmelized.
    Turn up heat, add brandy and flame.  When flames die down, add wine and cook a minute or two longer.
    Serve immediately.
